Matt Lewis on Healthcare
Recently, the Federal Government passed an unprecedented Healthcare reform bill, forcing under penalty of law that all Americans must enroll in a health insurance plan. The unread and single-party-passed directive ignored cost-saving measures to make health care more affordable, in lieu of inflated bureaucracy and power over all Americans. As usual, the Federal Government passed the implementation and expense of this legislation onto the states. This mandate further harms the tax payers already suffering from the poor economic policies that left them unemployed with no relief in sight.
Since Washington D.C. continues to pass their “big-government” agendas onto the state agencies for implementation, Ohio needs courageous and principle-centered individuals who are more than a “yes man” for their party. We need leadership that will keep the federal agencies in check when they look to push policies that cripple small business and stifle growth. We need to elect representation that will support initiatives that will provide cost-savings for the consumer while improving healthcare quality and choice. The more layers of decision making and paper-work between the patient and doctor, the less effective the quality of care will be.
Matt Lewis wants to be the common-sense leadership that YOU send to Columbus. For too long, the 33rd District has had one-party representatives who tow the party line instead of serving their constituents. Matt believes that our State needs to stop becoming a tool of Federal Government experiments which has contributed to our $8 billion dollar budget shortfall this year. Matt knows that we can implement solutions which bring healthcare costs down for everyone, rather than forcing everyone into a damaged system.
